FAQ Consulting, Coaching & Training in the Higher Education Context

Who can use our consulting and coaching services?
Our services are aimed at all members of the university community, including students at all levels, doctoral candidates, postdocs, professors, lecturers, administrative and support staff, as well as laboratory personnel and technicians. We work with individuals and institutions.

How can appointments be booked?
Individuals can arrange an initial consultation directly via the contact form on the website. Universities and research institutions also have the option of institutionally funding our services and making them available to their members.

Are the meetings confidential?
Yes. Confidentiality is our highest priority. All content remains protected and will not be shared without explicit consent, except where legally required.

How long does a session last?
A session typically lasts 50–60 minutes.

Are appointments flexible?
Yes. Scheduling is flexible and is arranged in consultation between clients and experts to suit the time constraints of both parties.

Do you offer online sessions?
Yes. We offer: - Online consulting and - Coaching via a secure video conferencing platform

How do the meetings proceed?
The sessions are: - Empathetic, respectful, and solution-oriented - Resource-enhancing and individually tailored - Sensitive to personal concerns and systemic frameworks within the university context Our work is humanistically grounded and informed by cognitive-behavioral therapy.

What is the difference between psychological counseling and coaching?
Both formats are professional, confidential, and goal-oriented. - Psychological counseling focuses more on mental well-being, stress, crises, and emotional issues. - Coaching concentrates on professional development, leadership, communication, and decision-making processes. We are happy to assist you in selecting the right option.

What are the costs per session?
The cost ranges from €100 to €180 per session. Business and executive coaching is generally more expensive than psychological counseling. Our services are aimed at privately insured individuals and self-paying clients. Reimbursement through statutory health insurance is generally not possible.

Do you offer training courses for universities?
Yes. We offer online and in-house training for universities and research institutions.

What topics do the training sessions cover?
Our training courses include, among other things: - Fundamentals of mental health for staff and faculty as first points of contact - Intercultural competence training for all university groups

What do you understand by culture?
We use a broad concept of culture that includes not only ethnic or national origin but also professional cultures, occupational roles, social identities, organizational cultures, and power relations.

Who are the training sessions suitable for?
For instructors, administrative and service staff, counseling centers, managers, as well as students and early-career researchers. All training courses are tailored to the specific target group and context.
